DuoSTATION is a user friendly and cost-effective solution that helps you perform most of your IT department needs within your organization.
Lindesberg municipality has around 3000 computers out in their different operations and with all the mobile devices the network will soon include up to 10,000 devices in total. The IT manager Anders Widegren came into contact with ProgramDuon for the first time in April 2011 to get a demo of the case management system. Back then, the municipality’s IT cases were handled manually, using among other things post-it notes.
It was difficult to keep order and to prioritize matters in the right way. After evaluating and testing many solutions, DuoSTATION was the best fit for the municipality’s needs.
Nowadays, case management is significantly simpler and more structured, job priorities are now handled smoothly via DuoSTATION and the IT staff can, among other things, search for solutions if they are documented in the system.
DuoSTATION is used for all IT matters in all operations, for example registration of newly purchased goods, connecting equipment to the right user, reinstallation of computers, creation of billing documents, distribution of license costs and how licenses should be charged as well as computer costs. All IT personnel use the solution because all jobs are located in DuoSTATION, where IT equipment and computers are also inventoried. When changing screens and other equipment, these are also connected to the computers so that you can get an overview of the computer’s lifetime. Mobile devices are also inventoried and given an ID in DuoSTATION so that they can be followed during their lifetime.
Today, the municipality has better routines around all IT equipment and the work of the IT staff. With the new custom function for billing documents, it is easy to charge the administrations and each administration can also see what they are paying for.

The new function that produces documentation for debiting is based on an adaptation made for Lindesberg municipality based on their wishes.
